Manufacturing
There are many different types of laboratories that fall under this category. They include research and development, competitive analysis laboratories, quality control, process control and manufacturing. Based on the type of testing that is performed by these laboratories, ATL has two different product offerings, either the Sample Master® Product Family or ScreenIT™ for clients performing primarily product or client specification testing. Both products provide clients with real-time specification checking and compliance information. There are also integrated e-mail alerts with a cc list for samples that do not meet the specifications. Instrument integration facilitates rapid data access with SPC charting for immediate viewing. Users can also place SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) on-line for access from within the LIMS to assist in standardization.
Sample Master® LIMS is modular by design and allows users to select the modules that they require and users can add additional modules at anytime. Although, limit checking and SPC charting are included, there is additional functionality for laboratories that are not pure manufacturing, but are a combination of Manufacturing, Research and Development and internal Quality Control. There are additional modules that provide instrument maintenance and calibration functionality.
ScreenIT™ LIMS is a highly configurable (multi-lingual system) that allows users to perform specificity checking, and quality control. Users define field names for lot numbers, expiration dates, manufacturing sites, product types, turnaround times, raw materials, finished product, and many other features unique to a specific manufacturing industry with many user definable fields. Users can define client specific specifications so that final product that does not meet the specifications for one client, may meet the specifications of another. Users can also define any special customer requirements. Having all of this information in ScreenIT™ LIMS allows users to quickly assess the product quality compared to customer need. Users also have the ability to set upper and lower specification limits and automatically e-mail reports to users on a user definable basis.
Both systems will allow users to generate certificates of analysis (CofAs) that can be printed, e-mailed (in pdf read only format) or faxed. ATL's LIMS solutions provide raw material validation, product traceability (trace back), production run tracking, ability to quarantine products, product and client specific specifications and test profiles, instrument integration, multi-site control limits, dynamic Shewhart trend analysis, and the ability to track customer information such as shipping details, ordering, contacts, report to and bill to contacts and addresses, etc. Users can also automatically view product and backlog reports as well as control charts.
ATL's LIMS solutions easily integrate with several production and inventory control systems through straightforward mechanisms and several different formats to meet the specific requirements of the laboratory.
