LABS/QLABS Graphic

Requirements
Laboratories create a multitude of results. In order to make a decision based on those results data very often has to be statistically processed and visualised graphically. A software is needed which can select the appropriate information, analyse its results statistically and process it graphically as well as in table form.

Solution
The standard software package LABS/Q® offers the option to show configurable SVG graphics (Scalable Vector Graphics, standardised by the W3C consortium). Another possibility is the graphic tool LABS Graphic which can be run directly from LABS/Q®. Evaluations for historical final results can be carried out, group reports, project evaluations (environmental protection) instrument evaluations as well as stability evaluations can be performed.

Functional Range
LABS Graphic offers a multitude of graphical and statistical evaluations. All data can be transferred via the clipboard to other windows programs.

Statistical evaluation
The selected results can be evaluated under various points of view. By default, averages, standard deviation, relative standard deviation and the process capability values cp and Cpk will be calculated. Furthermore, a test on normal distribution by David, the outlier test by Grubbs (recommended by DIN 53 804) as well as the trend test by Neumann are available.

Run Tests Validations
LABS Graphic allows to set up and apply user-defined run test validations in order to detect trends and outliers in the result series. Result values will be validated referring to these run tests, possible run test violations can be logged and displayed in the control chart.

Regression analysis
You can use different regression models for the evaluation of result data. This feature is especially important for the future trend of stability studies in order to make reliable predictions. LABS Graphic supports the following methods:
  • Linear regression
  • Linear Correlation Coefficient
  • Nonlinear regression for various models
  • Regression based calculation of extrapolated x-values
To allow a characterization of the quality of regression and to be able to compare it with other regression models LABS Graphic calculates a number of characteristic regression data:
  • Linear / nonlinear correlation coefficient
  • Degree-of-freedom of the regression
  • Square of the correlation coefficient, also degree-of-freedom adjusted
  • Residual standard deviation
  • Residual plot
  • Calculation of extrapolated x-values

Graphical Evaluation
The result series together with specification limits, all statistical evaluations (regression) and run test validations can be displayed in the control chart.
