LABS/QLABS/U

Requirements
In environmental protection offices (both operational and magisterial) samples very often have to be taken over a long period of time from different sample points. For example in a sewage plant different sample points have to be monitored. Planning and supervising sample taking at its due dates is usually very costly. The results may have to be checked against legal requirements. Reporting may be extensive and time consuming.

Solution
LABS/Q® offers special modules for operational and magisterial environmental protection. Based on project orders dates are automatically supervised by LABS/Q®. Orders for sample drawing are also automatically lodged by LABS/Q®. Barcode labels as well as sampling protocols can be automatically generated. Normal limit lists as well as lists independent from the sample point (like TVO) can be used as a default. The Document Management System DMS and the report functions allow you to generate and document reports automatically or manually.

Functional Range

UMS Project Orders
Project order management based on further master data (inspection property, method, sample points, sample types) determines the test range as well as the time schedule. The project order can contain all interrelated sample points, the types of sample (e.g. random sample, 2 h composite sample), treatment (e.g. stabilised), conditioning (eluent, filtrate and so on) as well as the expected test range and time schedule. Limits may be defined. Lists of limits may be referred to against which the results can be checked. Based on these project orders the submissions can be generated manually or automatically.

Lists of limits
Classes of limits (e.g. waste) and limits by law (e.g. TASI I, TASI II) can be managed together with validity dates via an administration module. These lists of limits can then be referred to when evaluating a result. Thus the user gets an indication e.g. under which conditions waste disposal is opportune. A sorting criterion allows checking the results against various sources of one class of limits.

Sample drawing
LABS/Q® suggests to the sampler which kind of sample containers should be used and which tests should be done on location. The required number of barcode labels is automatically generated. In case the sampler takes test on location the results can be transferred manually or automatically into LABS/Q®.

Submission handling
In addition to distinctive features for evaluating lists of limits or special calculation options all normal functions of LABS/Q® are at your disposal. After finishing submission all information in the project order will be updated.

Reporting / Evaluation
Evaluations or reports for a project order can automatically or manually be generated and distributed. LABS/Q® generates several report masters with graphical details as a standard. Further statistical and graphical evaluations can be done in LABS Graphic.
