Requirements
Tests for product stability and storage life are often made during product development and quality control. This very often leads to a huge amount of administrative planning and deadline monitoring. In many cases costly interim reports and final reports are necessary which contain graphical and statistical evaluations. These requirements can be very well met by computer based applications.
Solution
The module for stability studies as an integrated solution in the LABS/Q® system offers all necessary features for planning, stock storage and storage periods of stock withdrawal, testing and evaluation of test samples with regard to stability or durability studies.Consequently, this module offers to you the ideal tool for representing the interaction of product, packing and its climatic conditions, the influence of novel raw materials or production conditions, the durability of products in trade and much more.
Functional Range
Planning Stability Projects
Stability projects can be included in LABS/Q® based on master data like material, storage, inspection instruction (method) and test plans. This can be done via the optional Internet Requester or via standard interfaces as provided by various suppliers. You can resort to a study template for easy and automatic processing of a new study. A capacity check based on storage and personnel capacities can be done before clearing a study. Additionally the predefined consistency check of LABS/Q® checks the information for completeness and plausibility. Only if no errors can be found by the system the study can be planned by creating and releasing a version.
Inclusion of stability samples LABS/Q® determines the sample portions which have to be stored for various climatic conditions based on the test scopes, the reserve factors and the sizes of primary packaging materials. These specifications can be altered manually during planning. When planning is finished the stock storage of the stability sample is done by LABS/Q®. The necessary sample labels can be printed and the amount actually put into store can be booked with the date of storing.
Removal of stability samples LABS/Q® allows customers to plan the removal for a user-defined number of days ahead by offering a follow-up of orders. A submission is generated at the same time. The actual removals together with the necessary quantities and the date/time can be entered in the module of stability project administration. Again sample labels can be generated. Removal transfers the respective inspection order into the state "Sample taken". This may lead to follow-up actions like the generation of sample accompanying documents.
Editing/Processing stability samples
When entering the laboratory the sample is recorded ("sample in laboratory"). The tests are made and the results are manually or automatically entered into LABS/Q®. The results are then checked against the defined limits (specifications). The function "Result History" shows the results up to now. Trends can be determined via LABS Graphic. A decision can be made whether a study can be continued or has to be stopped After completing the submission the study is supplemented by all known information. An automatic interim report can be generated and printed out or sent via email.
Reporting / Evaluation
Evaluations or reports for a study can be automatically or manually generated and distributed. LABS/Q® generates several report masters with graphical details as a standard. Further statistical and graphical evaluations can be done in LABS Graphic.
