 
Requirements
Laboratories exchange information with other organisations in a large-scale. These organisations may be internal or external clients. They may also be laboratories which perform sub orders. In order to enable quick and easy work with outside organisations interfaces for automatic information exchange are expected. Functions should be available which are open for LIMS users via the Internet or an intranet.

Solution
This option has been designed and developed to give access to the information stored in your LABS/Q® database (data and documents) for non-frequent users, without need of buying a full LABS/Q® user licence for them and without need of implementing a LABS/Q® client at locations far away for just a sporadic use. Internet Requester provides the answer to all our customers who have asked for a simple but comfortable and cost effective option to allow non-frequent users to access their LABS/Q®.

Announcement of submissions
Internal or external clients can initiate submissions/samples based on standard analysis profiles (log plans). It is possible to refer to a submission already issued, a log plan or general master data. This makes generating of a new submission much more easy. In addition a comfortable copy function simplifies submission generation as well.
Once an order is issued via the Internet Requester IR LABS/Q® automatically creates a log plan or a submission. The client can receive a notice of arrival automatically via e-mail if he wishes. After check in LABS/Q® a contract note (an offer) will be sent per e-mail.
Once an order is given the client can request an interim report at any given time. It can be generated automatically in LABS/Q® and can be sent to the client. After the order is completed a final report is provided for the client. The laboratory is thus free to do its proper work instead of spending lots of time with writing reports for customers.

Work Overview
This module offers a graphic view which allows authorized users to display the open samples or methods per lab which will be updated automatically in a pre-defined time interval.

Result Recording
In this module external clients may enter results in accordance with their personal user profile (function groups, job types, access rights). Alternatively interfaces for automatic transfer are provided by LABS/Q®.

Result Reports
In this module submitters may view the results of completed submissions including graphics and statistics. Statistical parameters like standard deviation, mean value, CpK and CpKn values are calculated.

Request for Certificate
Here, customers may retrieve the COQ, the specification, and the final results for the product they received.

View specifications
Via the Internet Requester LABS IR you can check the specifications stored in LABS/Q® in accordance with your user profile (function group, access rights).

Specific User Reports
A report tool to create user specific reports belongs to the Internet requester LABS IR. According to user rights specific analysis options are at the customer's disposal. A number of examples is already included in the standard installation kit.
