In addition to exhibiting, Sonja Stutsman, Account Manager for ATL, will also be presenting a technical session on Monday, April 11th – here are the presentation details:
| Monday, April 11 |
During Session 2: Data (Part I)
9:25 – 10:55 AM
|Going Mobile with LIMS for Field Data Collection|
Going Mobile with LIMS for Field Data Collection will focus on how environmental laboratories are using innovative methods to manage operations more effectively to maximize productivity and reduce costs. Although there has been a proliferation of the use of smart phones and tablets over a variety of industries, field data collectors are still carrying around a lot of paper forms to capture data. Many laboratories are limping along with old data management technology that limits the lab’s ability to work efficiently, quickly generate the best quality data and maximize their resources. Over time, business needs changes and the technology must change to ensure that those needs are met and the laboratory remains efficient and productive. Although tablets are in use, they are often only used for checking email, browsing the web or sharing photos. Using tablets to let field collectors know what the schedule of collected samples is for the day is smart and provides better data quality and faster data management. This also ensures that no sampling events are missed, especially those for regulatory compliance purposes.
During the EnviroTech Summit, ATL will be exhibiting its market leading Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions, Sample Master® and TITAN®, along with its complementary web portal (Result Point®), field data collection products (Sample Master® iMobile and TITAN® iMobile) and instrument integration services. With this complete laboratory automation portfolio, ATL provides a complete LIMS solutions platform for environmental laboratories.
