ATL Webcast on September 16: Why We Invested in ATL Technology For Our Agriculture Laboratory

September 1, 2015: Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL) will host the eighth in a series of webcasts on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 entitled Why We Invested in ATL Technology For Our Agriculture Laboratory. This informative webcast will focus on the real-life experiences of organizations in the agriculture sector who have implemented ATL laboratory automation solutions.

During this webcast, attendees will hear about the laboratory operations at a governmental Department of Agriculture and how the implementation of a laboratory information management system (LIMS) has provided numerous benefits including higher data quality, faster turnaround time on analysis, and lower operational costs. The presentation will also include a discussion on solutions in place previously; one an in-house developed system and the other a high customized commercial system that was replaced. ATL’s LIMS solutions have helped ensure regulatory compliance for the USDA’s Pesticide, Feed and Fertilizer Enforcement Program, HACCP and CFR 21 part 11.

Webcast attendees will also hear about real world lab automation best practices that have resulted in significant productivity gains and addressed challenges that agriculture laboratories face every day. One example is the role a LIMS plays in providing customer friendly web portals that allows the Department of Agriculture’s customers to automatically register their feeds, pet foods, fertilizers, liming materials  and other products and pay on-line, and upload their labels. The LIMS also generates automated reports and financials. This automated system greatly reduces the amount of paperwork and laboratory staff interaction, saving the government significant time and money.

Recommended attendees include laboratory owners, directors and managers, and quality managers and directors in the agriculture, food & beverage, environmental, water/wastewater, life science, and public health sectors.
